Fruit Punch Slush

- Bree Hansen

A favorite drink made for special occasions by my mom, aunts, and grandma. We love this family recipe!

1 (12 oz.) can frozen Hawaiian Punch
2 (12 oz.) cans frozen lemonade
1 (12 oz.) can frozen orange juice
1 (4 oz.) can pineapple juice
1 (3 oz.) pkg. raspberry jello
2 1/4 cups boiling water
1 cup sugar
3 cups cold water
Sprite soda pop
2 quarts Raspberry Sherbet (optional)
1 quart Vanilla Ice Cream (optional)

  1. In a 5 quart container, prepare juice for slush about 24 hours before serving. Dissolve jello and sugar in 2 1/4 cups boiling water. Combine with orange juice, pineapple juice, lemonade, Hawaiian Punch, and cold water. Stir well (should be strong). Cover and put in freezer. In the morning or 6 to 8 hours later, stir well again. Continue to stir every 2 to 3 hours so slush stays nice and fluffy...this prevents hard ice clumps. Fill cups with slush and pour Sprite over top of slush so cup is filled with liquid.
  2. Fancy Yummy Variation: Add sherbet and ice cream after slush sets up and continue the stirring process. Fill cups with creamy slush and pour Sprite over top. Serves: 32+
