Hot Fruit Punch

I got this recipe from June Holt who lived in Village Circle, but has passed away.

5 quarts water
3 cups sugar
2 or 3 cinnamon sticks
15 cloves, whole
1 cup fresh orange juice
1 cup fresh lemon juice

Simmer the water, sugar, cinnamon and cloves for 12 minutes. Remove the spices. Just before serving add the orange juice and lemon juice. Makes about 40 punch cups or 20 (8 oz.) glasses.
