Vanilla Syrup

This syrup is so amazing! I took it to a Relief Society luncheon where the hostess served crepes. I left her some extra and she texted me later to let me know that everything she had dipped in it tasted wonderful - including broccoli! And then she ended up just drinking it to finish it off. Yep, it's that good! (And in case you are wondering the hostess was Michelle Nielsen, and this really is true!)
1 cube butter
1/2 cup buttermilk
1 cup sugar
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. vanilla
Put butter, buttermilk, and sugar in extra large pot. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally, then remove from heat and immediately add baking soda and vanilla. Stir a few times: this will bubble up quite a bit.
