Christensen Brownies
Christine Christensen
This is one of my most requested recipes because they are so delicious and feed a crowd. These are a favorite at every ward event! Many people, who shall remain nameless, have been seen sneaking these into bags, or even pockets, so that they can enjoy the goodness later. The Young Men and Young Women of the ward have particularly enjoyed them over the years and they are my go-to dessert when one is needed for a funeral lunch. I literally put all the ingredients in a mixer and beat until creamy and spread in the pan. Can't get much easier than that!
1 lb. butter
8 eggs
4 cups sugar
4 cups flour
2/3 cup Hershey Cocoa
Mix butter and sugar and then eggs. Add flour and cocoa. Mix well. Spread in a greased jelly roll cookie sheet. Bake 30-35 minutes at 350 degrees. Frost when cooled.
Frosting:
1/3 cup Hershey Cocoa
1 cube butter
3 cups powdered sugar
1/3 cup milk
Mix together and add enough milk to make it a creamy consistency.
