Chicken Squares **
Emily Duffin
This has been a long time favorite of mine! My mom made it fairly often and it was my go-to answer when she would ask my sister's and me our opinion on upcoming dinner ideas. When I was serving in the New York Rochester mission this was the first recipe I asked my mom to send to me. It is a warm and delicious comfort meal.
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese (thinned with a bit of milk)
Onion flake or onion salt to taste
Salt and pepper to taste
2 cups shredded or cubed chicken
Shredded cheese
Chicken gravy (from packet)
1 can of crescent roll dough
Mix first cream cheese, onion, salt and chicken. Make sure it's not too thin. Place 1-2 Tbsp. of mixture on open crescent roll dough. Fold up dough and pinch to seal edges closed. Bake at 350 degrees until golden brown. Sprinkle with shredded cheese and pour on gravy. Eat and enjoy.
