Dorothy's Pasta Salad
Dorothy Anderson
I got this recipe from the Ladies Home Journal many years ago and I've used it ever since. It's a great salad to make in the summertime. (Note: Did you know that Dorothy Anderson wrote the Primary Song "Oh What Do You Do In the Summertime?!")
Salad:
1 lb. pasta, cooked, drained, and cooled
1 can olives, drained and sliced or chopped
1 can diced tomatoes, drained
1/2 green pepper, chopped
Dressing:
1 cup mayonnaise
2 Tbsp. vinegar, cider or red wine
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tsp. dried basil
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
Combine dressing ingredients and pour over salad.
