BBQ Pork Chops
Jane Mullen
This was a favorite recipe my mom made. She was a wonderful cook and had a wide variety of things she made. It was always so exciting to be able to request something for dinner - I always requested this on my birthday. Now I make this recipe often. In my earlier years of marriage I tried to cater to my husband and make fancier dishes - he wanted healthy food and bought me a "healthy cookbook" full of what seemed like foreign words to me. On one occasion I attempted to make an eggplant dish - what a mess! And it tasted terrible! We were at McDonald's in 10 minutes flat. Ever since I have stuck with tried and true, simple and easy, like this recipe.
4-6 pork chops
1 can chicken gumbo soup
½ cup ketchup
2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
Cook the porkchops, then add all the sauce ingredients. Easy peasie!! Serve with rice.
(I usually double the sauce recipe because we really like the sauce on the rice too).
