Sausage and Pea Pasta
Diane Feinauer
My kids are not fans of peas, but they would eat this pasta every day! It is their absolute favorite.
3/4 lb. hot Italian sausage (if in casings, please remove)
3/4 lb. mild Italian sausage (remove casings)
1 cup chopped white onion
1 1/4 cup whipping cream (you could do one pint if you prefer)
3/4 cup chicken broth
1-2 cups frozen peas
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1 cup Parmesan cheese
2 cloves garlic, minced
Garlic salt
Pepper to taste
Bow tie pasta or penne, cooked in a separate pot
Saute sausage and remove. With oils from the sausage, cook onions and garlic. Drain majority of oils off. Add cream and boil 5 minutes. Add broth and cream cheese, cook on high another 5 minutes. Add sausage and continue to cook for another 5 minutes. Add Parmesan cheese, spices and peas.
Serve over drained bow tie or penne pasta
