Peanut Butter Popcorn

I'm not sure where this recipe originated, but I've been making it for 35 years.  It tastes like popcorn mixed with a bit-o-honey.

3/4-1 cup unpopped popcorn
1 1/2 cups dry roasted peanuts, optional
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup corn syrup
1/2 cup honey
1 cup peanut butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Pop popcorn with hot air popper. Using your hands, scoop the popped corn from one bowl to another to separate out the unpopped kernels. Add peanuts to popcorn, if using. Butter sides of 1 1/2 qt. saucepan. Combine sugar, honey, and corn syrup. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Boil exactly 2 minutes. Remove from heat. Add peanut butter and vanilla. Stir until peanut butter is melted. Pour over popcorn and mix completely. Spread on cookie sheet to cool.
