Best Way to Boil Corn on the Cob
Becky Johns
This recipe came from America's Test Kitchen who went through bushels of corn testing to refine this recipe. I like it because you can let the corn sit in the water for up to 30 minutes while you finish up the rest of the meal, and it takes the stress out of serving perfectly cooked corn.
6 cobs of fresh corn, shucked
4 quarts of water, NO SALT
Bring water to a rolling boil and remove from the heat. Add 6-8 ears of corn, cover and let it sit off heat for ten minutes. Corn can stay warm in the water for up to 30 minutes before serving. (If you want to do more corn use two pots.) Roll hot corn over a cube of butter and salt. Serve hot.
