Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies

This is our go-to cookie recipe for fall. My daughter Claire has always loved them.
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup butter
2 eggs, beaten
1 cup pumpkin
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 cups flour
1 Tbsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 cup chocolate chips
Cream sugars and butter. Add eggs, pumpkin, and vanilla and stir together. Mix in flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Stir in chocolate chips. Drop by tablespoonfuls on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes or until lightly browned.
For bars, pour into a 9 x 13 pan, bake 25-30 minutes or until lightly browned. Frost with powdered sugar frosting when cool.
