Carolyn's Brownies
Carolyn Nelson
This recipe was given to me by Christine Christensen. I'm grateful for it and have made it hundreds of times. I haven't changed the brownies, but my frosting may be a little different.
1 lb. butter
4 cups flour
4 cups sugar
2/3 cup Hershey's cocoa
8 eggs (beaten)
2 tsp. vanilla
Mix all together and pour into large greased cookie sheet. Bake 350 degrees for 25 minutes.
Frosting:
1 stick butter
1/3 cup whipping cream
1/4 cup cocoa
Bring to boil and pour over:
1 lb. powdered sugar (3 1/3 cups)
1 tsp. vanilla
Combine and spread on brownies. Work quickly because frosting sets up. (It makes a little too much frosting so frost a few graham crackers with the rest.)
