Frosted Cream Cheese Brownies

This recipe is from my mother, Jean Moody.

Brownie:
2 cups sugar
1 cup butter
4 eggs
3 squares chocolate, melted
2 1/2 cups flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. vanilla
1 cup nuts, chopped

Combine and pour into a greased 9 x 13 pan.

Cream Cheese Swirl:
3 (8 oz.) pkgs. cream cheese
1 Tbsp. milk
1 cup sifted powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
Dash salt

Cream together cream cheese and milk. Add powdered sugar, vanilla and salt. Swirl into brownie mixture. Bake 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes. Frost brownies if desired.
