Pronounced "gwa-kah-moooo-lay" at our house. This is a favorite recipe for any event - it's always a crowd pleaser.
4 large avocados, halved, seeded, and peeled
1 lime, juiced
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. ground cumin
1/2 tsp. cayenne
1/2 medium onion, diced
1/4-1/2 bunch of cilantro
4 cloves garlic, minced
In medium bowl mash avocados and add lime juice. Add all remaining ingredients and mix together well. Serve with your favorite tortilla chips, or use for a topping on burgers, tacos, etc.
To store leftovers: Use a spoon to smash guacamole together eliminating air pockets. Move to a smaller, air tight container if necessary. Place plastic wrap directly on top of guacamole and press down to eliminate any remaining air pockets. Place lid on top of container and refrigerate.
