Joe’s Monte Cristo Sandwich

When Joe goes snowmobiling with his buddies, this is what he makes for them. They are out in the snow for hours in freezing temperatures doing tricks, getting stuck and digging each other out and usually running out of gas at some point— these sandwiches fuel them up for the whole day!
French Toast
1 tsp. ground cinnamon¼ tsp. ground nutmeg
2 Tbsp. sugar
4 Tbsp. butter
4 eggs
¼ cup milk
½ tsp. vanilla extract
8 slices white bread (unsliced so you can slice on your own 1 ½ inches thick)
In a small bowl combine cinnamon, nutmeg, and sugar. Set aside. In a skillet melt butter over medium heat. Whisk together cinnamon mixture, eggs, milk, and vanilla and pour into a shallow container such as a pie plate. Dip both sides of bread into egg mixture. Fry slices over medium low heat until golden brown, then flip to cook the other side.

Sliced Swiss cheese
Eggs
Maple syrup
Salt and pepper
Top each slice of French toast with 1 slice deli ham, 1 slice deli turkey, 1 slice Swiss cheese, and 1 fried egg. Sprinkle with salt and pepper, serve with maple syrup.
