Chicken with Duck Sauce

This is a chicken dish that I've eaten with my sister and her family who live in Las Vegas. We both enjoy cooking and sharing recipes. This is a good one.

8 oz. Russian salad dressing
About 8 oz. apricot jam
1 pkg. Dry Lipton onion soup
About 2-3 lbs. chicken thighs (remove skin)
Slivered almonds (if desired) 

Place chicken in pan. Mix dressing, jam, and soup mix and pour over chicken. Sprinkle with slivered almonds if desired. Cover with foil. Bake at 300 degrees for 2 hours. (Can remove foil last ten minutes to brown)
